HELLO
St John’s Parish has two historical churches in its care. These are sacred taonga for our whole community as they help speak of our local history and to think about the way ahead. Maintenance of Old St John’s and St Pauls is very costly and beyond the means of the Parish. Any financial assistance is gratefully welcomed
Ways you can donate:
01
In Person
You can donate in person at any of our services. An envelope system can also be set up where you are issued a regular 'giving' number` and tax receipts are issued yearly. Check with our office.
02
Online
The people of St John’s Parish take seriously their responsibility to maintain their historic buildings and their missional outreach to their community and beyond. Donations/regular giving to support this work can be made via the bank account:

VOLUNTEERING
The volunteering of time is an act of discipleship.
Whilst financial gifts given to the local church are used to fund the ministry and mission of the Church locally, nationally and internationally, that work can only be carried out when people volunteer their time. We believe that giving your time is the most important gift to God.
‘Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.’
2 Corinthians 9:7
Where can I Volunteer?
Volunteers are welcome at any one or more of the below listed programmes:
All our volunteers need to be willing to fill in a police check form, discuss the position they are volunteering for and meet regularly with a team leader for their safety and ours.
